Fundraising for bats

Anne Youngman

Anne Youngman

Anne Youngman worked for the Bat Conservation Trust for 15 years. She is now retired but continues to support the BCT by fundraising. In July this year, she will run a 105 kilometre (64.2 mile) ultra-marathon! The event starts from Melrose at midnight on 19th July. Participants then follow the St Cuthbert’s Way long distance walking route and have 19.5 hours to reach Lindisfarne (before the tide comes in!)

Anne describes herself as “the Creaky Old Bat” and at 65-years-old, expects to be one of the oldest runners taking part! Read more about Anne's fundraising story here and help her along her journey.

Rona Gordon

Rona Gordon

Rona Gordon, a seven-year-old keen cyclist and member of the BCT, is hoping to raise funds for bats by completing a challenge to cycle 100km in The Netherlands! Rona will start her journey on May 24th 2025, and will take 5 days to complete her challenge. Read more about Rona's incredibly inspiring fundraising story here and help her along her journey.
