The National Bat Conference 2025 will take place 5-7 September 2025 at the University of Durham, bringing together bat enthusiasts from across the country and around the world to discuss cutting-edge research, share best practice and develop their skills and knowledge.
Talks
The Programme Selection Team invite the submission of abstracts, particularly around the following themes:
- Quantitative evidence of successful conservation action for bats
- Projects that support under-represented audiences to get involved with bats as a professional, volunteer or part of pipeline activities to support future generations of bat workers
- Using technology and novel approaches in bat conservation
- Bat responses to climate change
- Habitat use and landscape-scale management for bats including agricultural/agro-forestry landscapes
- Bats, ecosystem services and natural capital
- New insights for effective bat surveys, mitigation, planning and licensing
Abstracts should be submitted using the abstract submission form by end of April 2025.
Following feedback from last year’s conference attendees, we would prefer speakers to attend in person if possible.
