Call for Abstracts
Abstracts wanted
The National Bat Conference 2024 will take place 13-15 September 2024 at the University of Reading, bringing together bat enthusiasts from across the country and around the world to discuss cutting-edge research, share best practice and develop their skills and knowledge.
Posters
There will also be posters on display at the National Bat Conference, please email Naomi with a short abstract or brief overview of the project/topic you would like to present a poster on. Email nwebster@bats.org.uk Posters can be submitted until 20 August 2024.
Talks
The Programme Selection Team invited the submission of abstracts, particularly around the following themes:
- Quantitative evidence of successful conservation action for bats
- Bats, communities and wellbeing, with particular interest in projects tackling EDI challenges
- Habitat use and landscape-scale management for bats including climate change
- Bats, ecosystem services and natural capital
- Bat surveys, mitigation, planning and licensing
- Use of technology in bat conservation
- Bat ecology and behaviour
Abstracts should be submitted using the abstract submission form to nwebster@bats.org.uk by end of April 2024.
Following feedback from previous conference attendees, we would prefer speakers to attend in person.
