Event FAQs

Event FAQs

Do I have to be a BCT member to come to a BCT event?

- No, BCT events are open to members and non-members. Usually there is a discounted member price as well as the non-member price.

Can a child attend a BCT event?

We want to encourage everyone of any age to engage with bats and develop their skills and knowledge, however our safeguarding policy means our event staff are unable to take responsibility for a child or young person. A child or young person may attend if accompanied by their parent or guardian who will be responsible for them at all times. If you have any questions about this please contact the Training and Conferences Manager to discuss it further.

Can I bring my baby to a BCT event?

We have an inclusive approach to our events and want to facilitate nursing mothers or parents on maternity or paternity leave to stay connected and updated. In line with our safeguarding policy, the parent will be responsible for the infant at all times, but they are welcome to take part in our event. We ask that the event organiser is informed ahead of the event, this will usually be the Training and Conferences Manager.

Covid-19 implications for BCT events

We are reviewing our events on a case by case basis in light of the evolving situation around the coronavirus outbreak. If you have any questions about a specific event, please contact the Training and Conferences Manager.
