Wildlife Crime Officer Training
This evening workshop is intended to provide practical training for police and others to learn more about bats. The evening will start with introductory talk providing some background information on bats, and will be followed by a visit to a bat roost to look for bat signs and a chance to see bats up close and look for identification features.
Prior knowledge: No prior knowledge assumed
Course content includes:
- Bat biology and ecology
- Bats and the law
- Visit to a bat roost to look for bat signs and watch bats emerging
- Using a bat detectors
