During the busy summer months (May to September), when bats have their pups and the young are learning to fly, the Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) runs an Out Of Hours (OOH) helpline to cover evenings and weekends. The OOH helpline relies on volunteers like you to answer emergency calls, it would simply be impossible without your help.

BatLife Europe has announced Bat species of the Year 2016. After announcing three contestants in 2015 common pipistrelle, Daubenton's bat and Noctule the chosen species was the Noctule (Nyctalus noctula)!
Bat Habitats Regulation Bill UPDATE 2016

Further to our previous post about the revival of the Bat Habitats Regulation Bill in the House of Lords on the 11th of June 2015. The Bill had its first reading in the House of Commons on the 6th of July and is now expected to have a second reading on the 5th of February.
