National Bat Conference - Reappearing in 2022!

Just like the greater mouse-eared bat, the National Bat Conference may have disappeared in person for the last couple of years, but it is back for 2022!

Clear your diary now and save the dates – Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th September 2022, the National Bat Conference will be taking place at Yarnfield Park Conference Centre near Stafford.

We will not just be in person though! Following the success of the virtual conferences of 2020 and 2021 enabling a greater diversity of people to join from further afield, we will be making the conference hybrid with both in person and virtual tickets available. Although please note, not all the in person elements will be available in the hybrid package!

The conference will feature the usual mix of exciting talks and engaging workshops along with lots of opportunities for networking and catching up with those batty friends and acquaintances you haven’t seen for a couple of years or maybe even making some new ones – NB there is a bar onsite for evening networking as well as the coffee breaks!

“its such an important part of the conference to be able to catchup with friends and colleagues, collaboration was mentioned a lot and a lot of this happens at the conference” 2021 Conference attendee

We have an international and inspirational keynote speaker whose work has had a huge impact on bat conservation. By using research and education, they have managed to change people’s perception of bats across the world. Sign up to find out about the national bat conference and you will be amongst the first to find out who our special guest is.

Bookings will open in April and early bat prices will be available until June. To be kept updated on the conference, register your interest here.

The Call for Abstracts is now open and details can be found here.
