Bat Conservation Trust was very sad to hear about the passing of Bill Landells in November.
Among his many and varied interests, Bill was a very long standing and active member of the Suffolk Bat Group, a Natural England Volunteer Bat Roost Visitor and BCT tutor. His long association with bats and Thetford Forest in particular – from supporting acoustic surveys and delivering NBMP training sessions for BCT to practical help with bat box checks and hibernacula monitoring – certainly made a difference for bats in Suffolk, and further afield. Such characters are rare and his passing will leave a void in Suffolk and beyond. Our condolences and thoughts are with his family and friends.
Please see the tribute page for Bill - Tribute to William Landells, 1949 - 2022.
