Bat Conservation Trust has added its voice to a coalition made up of 18 organisations lead by the Campaign to Protect Rural England to write to the Prime Minister and call for a halt to planning deregulation. The letter raises our concern that the government may be intending to ‘rip up the red tape’ of the planning system. Emphasising the opportunity as the nation begins to recover, including economically, from coronavirus, we urge the government not to take a wrong turn in this ‘fork in the road’. The letter highlights the fact that "Further deregulation of planning will only result in the exact opposite of ‘building back better". You can download the letter HERE.
