BCT has recently updated our Professional Training Standards for Professional Ecologists Working with Bats. This interim 2nd edition aligns with Bat Surveys for Professional Ecologists Good Practice Guidelines 3rd edition. This work was carried out with funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and links to work BCT has been carrying out on Earned Recognition for licensing in partnership with CIEEM and Natural England (project currently on hold). In future the guidelines and standards will be updated in tandem. More information and a link to the standards (which were updated in April 2021) can be found here.
