EU REFERENDUM – QUESTIONS THAT NEED TO BE ASKED

The referendum on whether the UK should stay in or leave the EU is a subject that has been recognised as important across the political spectrum. The government has issued some guidance to charities as to how they should consider the issue (Available HERE). Bat Conservation Trust is a non- partisan conservation charity but we want to make sure that the nation's wildlife is taken into consideration in this process. Regardless of whether they are committed to the EU, determined to leave, or still undecided, every voter should have information regarding how the referendum may impact on the UK's natural environment. We call on both the "Vote Leave" and "Britain Stronger in Europe" campaigns to explain how voting with them will impact on our natural environment.
