This International Bat Night (27th-28th August 2022), join us for a bat-themed bonanza at Burrator Discovery Centre from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday 28th August that will get you batty about bats! As one of many events taking place across the world, we have a range of activities celebrating all things bats. Learn what makes up a bat’s banquet and search for examples of a bat’s diet at Burrator, get crafty making your own bat mask before taking a look at some bat droppings and working out which poo belongs to who! Finally, spot bat boxes in the trees, find out why they are important and have a go at building your own ready for you to take home and provide a bat bed! (£1 per box, one box per person.) All equipment and guidance will be provided by our rangers on hand to answer all your bat questions. Please wear sensible closed-toe shoes, long trousers and dress appropriately for the weather. £1 per participant (adults and children) – under 18’s will need to be accompanied by a paying adult.
