Proposed works

Description of works
Several buildings on site were scheduled for demolition, including one hosting roosts for common pipistrelle and brown long-eared bats. Monitoring and exclusion of bats in the building was completed, followed by soft stripping building features (roof tiles, roof lining, soffits) prior to demolition. Activities were scheduled in October to avoid maternity / hibernation periods. Compensation measures constructed prior to roost removal.
Type of impact upon the roost
Long-Term Roost Modification and Roost Loss

Size: The barn dimensions will have a width of 5m, a length of between 5-7 metres and with a roof apex height of 2.8m.
