Other ways to survey night-time nature
Did you know that your NightWatch survey data supports other wildlife charities in their conservation efforts? For example, your wildlife sightings contribute to the Living with Mammals survey by People's Trust for Endangered Species, and your stag beetle records are part of their Great Stag Hunt!
There's no need to step with NightWatch! In fact the more wildlife records you're able to contribute, the better able we are to help all kinds of night-time nature. There's a survey for everyone, with varying degrees of skill, experience and commitment required. Check out a few of our suggestions below.
PTES Living with Mammals survey
People's Trust for Endangered Species need your help to monitor mammals and record sightings to protect their future #LivingWithMammals
PTES Great Stag Hunt
To protect the future of stag beetles, we need to know more about not only where they are surviving, but also how many there are, year on year. You can help by taking part in the Stag Beetle Count 6 times between the 1st June to 31st July. Or log occasional stag beetle records with the Great Stag Hunt.

PTES Hedgehog Street's big hedgehog map
PTES are on a mission to make sure the hedgehog, the UK’s only spiny mammal, remains a common and familiar part of British life. Did you know hedgehogs are abundant in urban and suburban areas? We know this thanks to People's Trust for Endangered Species Hedgehog Champions who have been recording hedgehogs in their local area.

National Moth Recording Scheme
This wonderful resource, gathered by many thousands of volunteer recorders, is being used to conserve threatened moths, increase scientific understanding of moth declines and improve public awareness.
