Surveying bridges for bats

This one day course has been designed to ensure that participants are aware of their responsibilities with regards to bats and able to recognise the basic signs of potential roosts within bridge and/or tunnel structures.

Course content includes:

  • Bat biology and ecology
  • Spotlight on bats in bridges - how and when they use them
  • Taking account of bats.
  • Site visit - guidance on how to recognise basic signs of potential roosts.
  • Discussion of specific case studies

Prior knowledge: None

CPD: A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded that can be used as evidence for CPD.
