Wildlife Crime Officer Training

This evening workshop provides practical training for police and others to learn more about bats. The evening starts with an introductory talk on bats, followed by a visit to a bat roost to look for bat signs and a chance to see bats up close and look for identification features.

Course content includes:

• Bat biology and ecology
• Bats and the law
• A visit to a bat roost to look for bat signs and watch bats emerging
• Using a bat detector

Prior knowledge: none

CPD: A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded that can be used as evidence for CPD.
