Sound analysis and species identification
This one-day course focuses on the analysis of calls recorded on full spectrum, broadband time expansion or frequency division bat detectors using BatSound as the primary software, though the illustrated identification features will apply to a range of different software.
Course content includes:
- Principles of sound analysis
- Getting good recordings
- Identification of UK species from calls
- Practical sessions in using BatSound*
* NB: Anabat systems and zero crossing will not be covered in this course. A separate course focusing on Analook is available as an in-house course.
CPD: A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded that can be used as evidence for CPD.
