Hibernation Survey

During the winter, licensed bat workers monitor hibernation sites around the UK and many of them kindly share their findings with the National Bat Monitoring Programme so that we can include the data in the species population trends we produce. So far for winter 2022/23 we have received bat counts from at least 98 volunteers at 436 sites/compartments of sites. The species distributions can be seen by clicking on the links at the bottom of this page.
