Success of small-scale solutions

Our Lady St Mary, South Creake, Norfolk

“We at the Church of Our Lady Saint Mary South Creake, were very grateful for the money that we received to help with our bats.

We have four Altars and our laundry costs were very high. We were also in need of a small hoover in which to clear up the daily mess.

We were able to purchase clear plastic covers for all the Altars which are in place unless the Altar is being used. Subsequently, laundry costs have dropped considerably, and it is much easier to clean up the mess will our new cord free hoover which is used daily.

We thank you for your help and for reimbursing us for the cost of the plastic and the hoover. It has helped a lot in our daily fight to keep the church clean and tidy.”

“You provided us with money for new and attractive covers for the most affected pews and the altar, to protect them from the remaining problem.

All this was very worthwhile and helped us feel that someone out there was on our side!”

“The Bats in Churches project has made a real difference to the worshipping life of our tiny countryside church. Gone are the days where the building would be covered with large amounts of bat evidence, needing a deep clean before services. Now, thanks to the practical and discreet trays installed by Bats in Churches, our building is kept much cleaner, our services can happen with minimal fuss, and we happily co-exist with our bat colony. We're Blest And Thankful!”
