Nature Recovery Green Paper consultation
Bat Conservation Trust has responded to Defra’s Nature Recovery Green Paper consultation that closed on the 11th of May 2022. Current government proposals risk downgrading the levels of protections currently in place on designated sites and for species. We have highlighted some serious concerns that the proposals put forward would not help the stated aim of creating an ecologically coherent network of terrestrial protected sites that will benefit wildlife, environment, and people.
