Planning and Infrastructure Bill update - urge your MP to stop this licence to kill

Many of you have been following updates about the Planning and Infrastructure Bill (PIB). If passed, it would be one of the biggest threats to bat conservation in years, and it puts many other species at risk too. 

We’ve launched a quick and easy campaign tool that lets you email your MP. Use it to tell them to remove or fix the worst parts of this dangerous bill.  

Even if you’ve written before, now is the time to act again — and please share the campaign with anyone you know who cares about nature.

As the Bill reaches a critical stage in Parliament, we need to keep the pressure up — and we’re asking you to speak up again now. Please take action today and share the page with anyone who cares about wildlife and the environment. 

If PIB becomes law without any changes it will create a ‘pay-to-destroy' system, encouraging — and potentially requiring — developers to bulldoze protected species and sites. Even the government’s own experts have warned that these proposals are based on weak evidence and could cause serious harm. 

Although time is running out, there is still an opportunity to get politicians to listen to the evidence and advice to change course.
