In celebration of International Bat Night we are pleased to announce the release of the very popular downloadable poster "How are trees important to bats?" developed by Mammal Next Door and with input from Bat Conservation Trust as well as a number of other partners. The release of these informative and engaging educational resources is very timely in light of the fact that "The Charter for Trees, Woods and People" will launch on 6 November 2017. This date marks the 800th anniversary of the influential 1217 Charter of the Forest.
We are encouraging everyone to help us spread the word on the importance of trees for bats, other wildlife and people. Over 80,000 people have already signed in support of the Tree Charter! For every name, a tree will be planted See: https://sign.treecharter.uk/page/6023/petition/1
