This course and site visit will provide attendees with an understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of managing woodlands for bats. It will cover the needs of bat species in a woodland environment, go through woodland management recommendations, potential roost feature recognition as well as the legislation. It will signpost to good practice guidance on how to check your woodland for protected species and how you should operate in their presence and relevant resources currently available.
