Introduction to Bats & Acoustic Identification

This one day course is aimed at those who are new to bats and would like to know more. Bats are amazing animals but being nocturnal they can be a challenge to identify. However, with some basic knowledge and a simple heterodyne bat detector the world of bats can begin to open up to you.

Bat Walk, Kings Norton Park, Birmingham

Help us celebrate International Bat Night at Kings Norton Park, South West Birmingham. Meeting at Kings Norton Playing Fields car park, near the changing block. We'll be starting promptly at 8pm with a brief introduction to bats before heading off on the walk to see & hear the local bats around the playing fields and along the canal.

Batty about Bats

For the third year The Friends of The Vines will have a Bat Walk in The Vines park where three species of bats have been observed. This is a popular event for families to learn more about our wonderful UK bat species and the bats that live in our park and local environs.
