Surveying Buildings (including Bat Identification)
This two-day course has been developed as a follow-up module to Bats and Bat Surveys. The course will allow participants to build on knowledge gained at the foundation course, and will provide a comprehensive understanding of bat identification and survey techniques within a buildings context.
The course will include classroom and workshop sessions, along with visits to three roosts, to assess the roost status with recommendations.
Course content includes:
- Survey skills
- Field signs
- Bat identification
- Droppings workshop
- Architectural terms
- Case studies and virtual tours
- Visits to roosts for assessment
Prior knowledge: Designed as follow-up to Bats and Bat Surveys.
