Pipistrelle Roost Count 2014

388 volunteers have returned data for 443 known pipistrelle roosts for 2014.

The species breakdown was as follows:

217 common pipistrelle roosts, 157 of which had this species present and counts carried out.

148 soprano pipistrelle roosts, 112 of which had this species present and counts carried out.

78 unspecified pipistrelle roosts, 40 of which had pipistrelles present and counts carried out.

The distribution of sites surveyed and pipistrelles recorded is shown in the maps below. Note: Sites are marked on the map at a 10 km spot resolution for ease of viewing. Each spot may contain more than one survey site. If pipistrelle species was not recorded during the 2014 surveys or counts were not carried out within a spot, it does not necessarily imply that the species are absent from this 10 km area.
