Mitigation

Target Audience: Ecological consultants- Intermediate level
This one-day course has been developed, and is delivered, by Dr Sandie Sowler, from published examples and from her own experience gained over more than 25 years involved in bat surveys, mitigation and conservation. It is intended for consultants and planning authority ecologists who would like an in-depth look at bat mitigation strategies that both have and haven't worked, over the past 10 years and encompassing most bat genera.
Course Content Includes:
- Mitigation types
- Mitigation by species and project type
- Examples of successful and unsuccessful strategies
- Future for bat mitigation

Prior knowledge: Please note that this is not a basic level course, it is assumed that participants will have attended Bat Ecology and Conservation, Surveying for Bats and Interpreting Your Bat Surveys, or have equivalent skills and knowledge. If you are unsure about whether this course is the appropriate level, please contact Dave Sutton.
Equipment: A list of required equipment will be sent with the pre-course pack.
