July 2017

We have had a pretty wet July so far, and sadly this has meant that we have had to cancel some of our transect surveys and reschedule them for later in the month. In addition, some bats, particularly barbastelle bats are still nursing their young pups, so the trapping surveys have had to be rescheduled as well. We are  hoping that the weather will improve for August ready for a bat walk at an exciting new site. The site is a Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve called Thursford Wood. Home to some of the oldest oak trees in Norfolk, it will be a great place to go on a bat walk, as many of the trees in the woodland have suitable tree roost features for bats to use. So please join us if you can. The walk is on the 19th of August and will be starting at 8 pm.
