This training is being run in partnership with Open Country (http://www.opencountry.org.uk/). It will include discussion and practical exercises with a focus on working with people with mobility, visual, hearing and learning disabilities in an external environment including consideration for evening events. The course is invaluable to those who lead/organise bat walks and other community events. Participants will gain the skills and confidence to work with people with special requirements. 31 Mar 2010 - Bat Field Survey Training - Brockwell Park, Lambeth, London.
This training is being run in partnership with Lambeth Council's Parks and Greenspaces Team. It will provide training and practical experience on survey methods for British bat specis. The training will have a focus on the species found in London. It will include an introduction to survey methods and species identification followed by a practical session. This will allow participants to carry out a mock survey and, through this, identify any areas of practice necessary prior to carrying out their own surveys.
Places on the training are limited and early booking is highly recommended. The booking form can be downloaded here in word format or pdf.
