26th - 28th August
This year the Bat Conservation Trust have joined up with the London Wildlife Trust in a new and exciting collaboration to host BatFest; A hugely popular weekend to celebrate International Bat Weekend.
The Woodberry Wetlands is this year's chosen location. This site is a haven for wildlife and people in Hackney: 17 hectares of reed-fringed ponds and dykes, always free and accessible to everyone. Bats most likely to be spotted at Woodberry Wetlands are pipistrelles (all 3 species), noctule, Leisler's bat, Natterer's bat and brown long-eared bat.
