Anabat courses
Target Audience: Ecological consultants- Beginner, intermediate and advanced level
These courses have been developed and are delivered by Dr Sandie Sowler and over three levels of Anabat training to suit all users, from beginners to the more experienced.
Anabat level 1: A one day course for first time users of Anabats to include Anabat set up, CF card programming, field use, understanding echolocation in relation to sonograms, use of the Analook program, analysis of sound files and extraction and documentation of data. An initial call library of commuting calls is provided for attendees.
Anabat level 2: A course for people who are familiar with Anabat but want experience using the Analook program. To include evening data gathering using Anabat and morning use of Analook program, analysis of sound files, extraction and documentation of data, use in connection with GPS and latest developments. An initial call library of commuting calls is provided for attendees.
Anabat level 3: For those who have been using Anabat and Analook but want to improve their skills in terms of difficult sonograms and social calls. A call library of social calls is provided for attendees.
Attendees must have the following when booking on these courses:
- a laptop with MS Word (not Mac), and not protected so that software can be loaded onto it
- a usb drive
- an anabat and cf card
- a cf card reader
- outdoor clothing for level 2
