Bat Conservation Trust is a non- partisan conservation charity. As the authoritative voice for bat conservation we work locally, nationally, across Europe and internationally to achieve our vision of a world rich in wildlife where bats and people thrive together. We are very aware that people's voices make a real difference and it is through our combined efforts that we have been speaking up for bats for over 25 years.

Many of you have already decided which candidate you will vote for in the general election on the 8th of June 2017 while others are still to make up your minds as to how you will cast your vote. BCT is not here to influence how you vote but we would like to ask your help to make sure that bats and wildlife are on the agenda.

If you care about the conservation of bats then here are three targeted questions you can put to your local candidates

  • How will they ensure that legislation protecting our wildlife, particularly bats, will be maintained and/or bolstered?
  • What steps and assurances will they take to make sure that the resources required to protect our wildlife continue?
  • What commitment can they make to support the efforts to prevent and fight wildlife crime?

We would love to hear of any responses you receive so do please email us on comms@bats.org.uk
