Bat Week World Record Attempt

Bat Week is an annual celebration of the role of bats in nature which will be running this year from the 26th October to November 1st. To celebrate this year, people are being invited to take part in an attempt at a world record for the most houses built in a day on October 31st. The goal is 5000 new bat houses, that means a lot of safe and happy homes for bats to raise their pups.

If you'd like to participate you can become a host site for the build day or find a site near you.

Even if you're not in Canada or the US, Bat Week is an excellent opportunity to carry out fundraisers and awareness events to help conserve this fascinating yet misunderstood group. Why not build a bat box for your fundraising event?

Bat Week is organised by a team of representatives from Bat Conservation International, Organization for Bat Conservation, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Wildlife Acoustics, Lubee Bat Conservancy and the Save Lucy Campaign
