Changing a Repeat Site Route
If you are doing a repeat site but you cannot access a part of the route or a stopping point previously used, you will need to select an alternative.
Try to get as near as you can to the original and choose a similar habitat if possible. Try not to miss out walks or spots entirely but re-route where necessary.
If you have to alter your route please draw the new route on the blank map and indicate in the box provided on the survey form that a change has been made. Write any revised spot descriptions on the spot description form.
You may need to revise a previous surveyor’s spot descriptions even for the same spots as things may have changed and someone else’s visual triggers may be different to your own.
