Acoustic Ecology and Identification of European Bats

The workshop focuses entirely on in-the-field acoustic methods, following a scientific program developed in France since 1988. This method is based on manual species identification, combining in-the-field listening in heterodyne and time expansion with computer analysis, along with integration of the behaviour of the individual bats studied.
